4. KEEPING THEM SAFE AT WORK – Speaker for H&S meetings

As our children head into junior and senior high school grades, many of them take on part-time jobs. Kids can and do get hurt at work, especially given their inexperience, their reluctance to ask questions, and their eagerness to appear competent. What role can we, as parents, play in keeping our children safe in the workplace? Clare Waddell, Youth Education Consultant with the Workers Compensation Board of PEI speaks regularly to students in Island high schools about staying safe at work. She also has some useful tips for parents and is available to share this information at local association home and school meetings. Contact Clare at cbwaddell or (902) 368-6357.
